3. Maintainer Responsibilities

4. Release Process
4.1 Patch Release (x.x.PATCH)
- Bug fixes and documentation updates
- No schema changes
- Tag:
git tag -a v1.0.x -m "Release v1.0.x"
4.2 Minor Release (x.MINOR.x)
- Additive features (new optional fields)
- Backward compatible
- Update
package.jsonversions
4.3 Major Release (MAJOR.x.x)
- Breaking changes (requires new protocol version)
- Full MIP process required
- Create new schema directory (
schemas/v3/)
5. Frozen Specification Rules
For FROZEN versions:
- No changes to existing schema fields
- No changes to required/optional status
- Documentation fixes allowed
- SDK bug fixes allowed
- New examples allowed
